Awards and Scholarships

Select schools and colleges who operate the very safest districts and campuses in our worker's compensation program are recognized annually. This award is presented to the Lowest Loss Ratio, Most Improved Loss Ratio, and Best 3-Year Loss Ratio clients.

Each recipient of the Billy E. Hibbs Safety Award also receives a scholarship to be awarded to a deserving student of the district or college's choosing.

Ozella Jones spent her life dedicated to the education of children. She taught thousands of children during her 25 years in education at the New Boston Independent School District in New Boston, Texas. The recipients of the scholarship are encouraged to take that extra step to learn more and then as Ozella would say, “Learn even more.”

The memorial scholarship was established to honor Mr. Billy Earl Hibbs, an alumnus of Quitman High School and our company founder. Mr. Hibbs was a student athlete and a civic leader and successful businessman throughout his life. This scholarship exemplifies his continued belief in giving back to our communities and furthering the education of our children.

The memorial scholarship was established to honor Mrs. Jeannie Hibbs, an alumnus of Mineola High School and wife of Billy Hibbs, Sr., our company founder. Mrs. Hibbs has been a civic leader and has been associated with the performing arts throughout her life.
