Claims Investigation Management

Our adjusters contact the district on every case prior to payment of any benefits to ensure the district is fully informed about the direction of the claim. We contact in person all lost time injuries who lose more than two days from work within 48 hours of notice to CAS.

CAS believes direct communication with the injured employee is essential in employee satisfaction and claims control. Each of our adjusters have, on the average, fifteen years of experience. A specific adjuster will be assigned to your school to handle all questionable claims and lost time injuries.

Additionally, a medical only adjuster will be assigned to handle all medical only claims. Medical only claims are defined as those with an expected cost under three hundred dollars. Your specific adjuster will not be assigned over 125 workers’ comp cases, in order to guarantee you the very highest level of service. Your medical only adjuster will never be assigned more than 300 medical only cases at any one time.

Each adjuster has a claims supervisor and a claims manager. Every lost time injury case is reviewed by the manager or supervisor a minimum of every sixty (60) days. Their goal is to ensure your district’s claims costs are held as low as possible and that the employees are released from medical care as soon as practical.

CAS provides complete wrap around claims service from the beginning to the close of the claim. This includes handling all levels of TWCC hearings. All services are included at no additional cost, including the usage of a private investigator if needed.
