Historical Overview
CAS was formed in 1990 to provide services to school districts in Texas. CAS is a sister company of Hibbs-Hallmark & Company (HHC) whose roots extend back to 1896. HHC/CAS was ranked by Business Insurance magazine as the seventy-eighth largest broker in the United States. CAS is recognized as a leader in the field of loss control and claims administration, as well as, a major force in the Texas workers’ compensation market. CAS has captured over 30% of the market for the 1,054 Texas schools and has retained over 98% of its clients since the program was designed in 1991.

We have our own MIS department that specializes in developing programs and reports to meet the needs of both insurance carriers and clients. CAS is preparing for the year 2000 by updating all systems to be in compliance with Y2K guidelines.

Quality Control

To ensure the highest, most consistent level of quality in all departments, we have a separate quality control division that provides regular audits to guarantee these standards. Additionally, internal audits are completed monthly by all department managers to assure compliance with procedures and policies.

Publications

CAS distributes several publications to meet the needs of our clients and to keep them informed of changes in the industry, and methods to assist them in controlling their costs.
